A morning walk from Amaco Park to Morad Park

Alcova Lake in the winter time when it was drained for maintenance

This is one of the local hangouts that individuals like to frequent, not to mention they do have some amazing bands that preform from time to time.

The ever changing landscape of down town, one thing you can garntee on is buildings staying empty and business going out of business.

One thing that I find to be sort of tacky, is we park food trucks outside buildings and not only take up the parking space that is already nonexistence but also create an eye sore.

Another land mark of a time from long ago, the Rialto Theater, now a sort of stand up comedy club that has brought to life ideas that I am not sure complement the downtown or take from it.

I found this place to be one of Casper’s hidden gems making the world even smaller by sharing wonders from all over. I admit that this store takes the luster out of bringing back candy and treats from Japan and other far away places.

The one thing that the down town is not short on is places to drink and places to eat. off the top of my head I can think of at least 10 restaurants and as many places to drink.

Bookin’ it is an incredible book store that brings a nostalgic feeling. I know I have brought many books here in hopes that they would find new and amazing homes.

I thought htis picture was really awesome, made me think of something that I might find in Japan, probably the Kyoto book store.

Another amazing store Alpenglow Natural Living, is an amazing store that has many amazing products that offere a unique take and natural living on life.

I applaud all the little shops and businesses that are in the downtown area and continue to make it. I know that in the winter when people pull back and honker down until the spring that it can be particular hard on businesses.

I went into the old Wool Worth building mostly cause I wanted to see the building, or what was left of what what was, and what was left of the Pig Coffee shop.

All thats left is a funky space, ideas of what once was, and broken dreams being sold off for pennies on the dollar.

I admit that it was sort of sad seeing everything as it was, but thats the harsh reality of the downtown.

This was probably one of the most iconic pictures. I remember coming here as a kid getting a milk shake and a hamburger with my grandparents.

I imagined this become one of the most happening Japanese izikais, if I had the money to throw at it.

This is also part of what use to be the old Wool Worth building now being turned into a coffee / co opt work space. Another business that Casper is in no short supply of is coffee shops.

I admit that I am hjappy to see that this building or space is getting a second leaf on life.

One thing I am happy about is the open floor plan and the windows that let in all the natural light.

Most spaces aren’t so lucky, many place remain empty, one of the things is rent plays a factor, and second the demand just isn’t there.

I often wonder how sometimes how business downtown make it.

Another aspect about business is that many places keep hours that leave me wondering who actually goes to these places, and how are they able to when most people work more then iconic 9-5 work day.

Casper, pearing though the windows is almost like looking into the a museum of a life, or what a life could be like.

Tattoo shops is another staple in town, that can be found in abundance.

I feel that this is a cruel joke. When you think of going downtown for shopping the last thing you think of is going downtown for lawters, realitors, and other business are that are extremely niche.

there are some incredible places that leave you impressed. The one problem is that they are tucked away and hard to get to. usually they are surrounded by empty places leaving people going there because they know of it and want to be there.

This is one of those places was something and then closed and then again became nothing often the story of the business.

I really like this store, and the fact that it gives an outdoor indoor feeling, but this borders another tattoo shop, not that its a bad thing but it does give a sense of feeling.

This is one of the most iconic stores in all of town. I remember buying model ships and submarines with my dad when I was a kid, and going there and seeing all the unique and novelty toys that you didn’t see at the other stores.

The atrium Plaza was once the original home of J.C. Penney’s then became the place where many shops came to call home, and now it was a place where little to nothing hopes to be bought while some dreams hang on.

This is one of the few stores that exist in this place. From this you would think that this is a happening and amazing place to go and shop.

You would think, yes this is where I want to set up shop and make a wonderful time but with the following pictures, easier said than done.
