Inspired by the work of Hiromi Toshikawa, Mika Ninagawa, and Masahisa Fukase, I explore the poetry of ordinary life. Rather than searching for perfection, I seek moments that are honest, fleeting, and beautifully imperfect. Each photograph is an invitation to reflect not only on the people and places before us, but on ourselves—the lives we inhabit, the choices we make, and the stories that quietly unfold in the spaces between certainty and change.

I walked though this corridor for the past 12 years on my way to work on my way home, going somewhere, bring home groceries and never considered how much of a back drop it had become to my lived story for the past 12 years. Then in the final moments of the scenery took on new meaning.

This not version of the set, the scene that I stated with of Two Brothers and an Apartment, this was the set where. This was the set where two brothers, a girlfriend, a dog and cat said good bye to one another. I was always fond of the morning glow but to be honest the apartment had become a cage, holding us back from rising to our greatest ambitions. Had I known how much joy and happiness moving out and away had brought me I would have done it much sooner. At first it was like checking into a high end hotel, but in the end it became less than desirable, less then hopeful. Being in a box within boxes within rows of boxes desensitizes you in ways you didn’t know or think.

This is the second edition of apartments that were built next to ours. Regardless of being an apartment complex there is something about being in the morning that made me not care I was just happy to be a part of the moment living my life and stealing a moment for myself before work.

The interesting thing about this picture is that it depicts two strip malls. The irony is that within easy walking distance there is, or better the was a mall that existed but is a far cry from what it once was. The other thing I thought to myself is that if I were to design this area I would stack the business ontop of one another and build a parking garage and the rest of the space could be used for parks and indoor atriumems. The other interesting thing is that there is actually a fee to shop there that somehow helps pay for the building or some aspect of the business. Yet people flock to it because its neat novel and well things that the town hasn’t had in some time.

This was the place to be growing up. At one point there was an arcade ice cream shop, movie theater, and coffee shop. You could get a baked potato, corn dog on a stick with the best lemonade known to man. Slowly over time everything went out of business. Now Tv’s play for a crowd that sadly never comes. The only time you will see these once thriving stores busy is during the craft fair. To be honest there is no reason to invest in opening something either. As a destination spot there is no reason to go.

After something like 15 years plus of living with my brother the end of two brothers and an apartment was hard and hart felt. Of course the brothers had their disagreements and fights but we were and continue to be each others best friends. There there is Gonkers the wonder dog. A late addition to the team but a beloved character of the cast.

This was the final weekend final nights of my old life and with it a way of being. I was nervous about starting a new chapter a new arch but I knew that it would be something incredible, something that would push me to become the greatest version of myself.

I took a small moment of time out of the day for myself to enjoy to know life in a nice and profound way. No where to be and no where I needed to go. With everything that went on and was going on in July I wasn’t trying to force any ideas but instead let them unfold and allow myself to find the magic along the way.

I was walking to the coffee shop when I saw this while listening to Coldplay Yellow. Some times the simplest moments are the most menaingful moments. Times when nothing needs to be explained and for a brief moment you hold all the answers in the world.

I thought it would be incredible fun to catch the bloons floying high above the city and for what it was I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the colors the scale and the fleeting of the moment.

One of my favorite weekend past times is to sit at the coffee shop and drink coffee and write about life and everything in it.
