A new beginning in art. At the end of 2025, I had a book made, sort of as a way to end one chapter and begin a new one, and with that, the exploration of painting and color. Inspired by my trip to Germany and Austria in 2025 and the opportunity that presented itself, I felt this was the next logical step in my artistic progression. For too long, I have been relying on black-and-white concepts to tell a story, and for too long, I have been creating artwork that is finished and complete. I made the promise to myself that if I can pull off the upcoming piece with high, positive results, I will devote my time and talents to the world of the arts.
This next step, phase, isn’t just a new chapter but a new book altogether. With this being a new book comes with it new insights and growth. I haven’t just set out to create hyper realism or simply reproduce what is before me, but to do something that most artists don’t do: to allow moments to live and be returned. What I mean by my new and profound sense of art is that I am thankful and fortunate to have been part of the moment. I am not trying to control or own the narrative, but to allow not just live and be returned, but to breathe and become naturally, without projection, without expectations.
Of course I will be doing random one off drawings, and as a new approach to live my art won’t just be limited to just drawing, and painting but other arts as well. In the closing days of 2025 I bought a panio and intend to learn some difficult piece as part making a new and incredible life.
I decided to start making post cards and actually taking the time to write. In a time of instant communication and social media we have never been closer and yet more distant then we ever imagined. This is a way of bridging that gap and making a real effort at genuine and real connections.
A post card collection. My post cards not only depict a piece of artwork but also depict a message. A message that I attempt to keep contentious and its own reality so that each play off of one another to tell a bigger story. At least that’s the goal.
The next big piece of art work.
